Re: Coronavirus Update (17 March 2020) – Issue 1

 

I know that many of you will have serious concerns regarding the current situation we are all facing.  I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM YOU THAT WE HAVE NO KNOWN CONFIRMED CASES OF CORONAVIRUS AT EITHER OF OUR SCHOOLS.

 

Following the Government announcement yesterday; I would like to inform you of the decisions I have taken to help keep our children and families safe:

 

• School trips have been cancelled until further notice
• Swimming lessons have been cancelled until further notice
• Year 6 Parents` Evening will take place over the phone at times originally planned
• All non-essential external visitors have been cancelled until further notice
• Mothers` Day Breakfast has been cancelled
• Assemblies where parents are normally invited into school have been cancelled, and will take place in class for our children
• Year 6 Extended School unfortunately Wednesday 18 March 2020 will be the last session, and we will re-instate as soon as we are able to
• RSE Parents` Consultation session has been cancelled, and will be re-arranged as soon as we are able to
• Family Learning has been cancelled until further notice

 

I have also suggest that staff do not attend any external meetings or training unless these are offered remotely.

 

At the moment school clubs will continue to run as usual, but this may change.

 

I will keep you updated to the best of my ability, as things change.
