P.E. & SPORTS PREMIUM
Like all primary schools across the country, our Foxdell Schools receives the Sports Premium grant to improve the provision of PE and Sport within our schools and to develop and encourage healthy lifestyles.
The funding is being used to continue to support improvements to the provision for PE and sport and encourage the development of healthy lifestyles. Investments have been made in improving infrastructure, equipment, and for the provision of specialist support.
Across the primary we offer a wide range of sports for the children to participate in, and every child from Reception to Year 6 is timetabled to take part in at least two PE sessions per week. Across both schools, the Sports Premium grant allows teachers to develop their own practice by working alongside sports coaches and PE specialist teachers in delivering high quality PE lessons.
In Reception and Key Stage 1 at Foxdell Infant School, children have daily access to outdoor areas designed to promote physical development and exercise. At Foxdell Junior School, pupils regularly take part in sports matches, tournaments and competitions, both during the school day and after school. We also provide a variety of after school clubs to support the children in their physical fitness and activity levels. "
